“Lord, have mercy; Christ have mercy”: the Kyrie Eleison, an ancient prayer long sung by believers in Christ, expresses the heart of humanity’s need—and forms the refrain for Soli Deo Gloria Ballet’s newest ballet, Kyrie. Spring 2010, we took audiences through the history of redemption, through creation and the fall of man to the resurrection of Christ. Kyrie is a small-scale ballet, 60 minutes in length, that combines the beauty of dance with live and prerecorded music, and narration.
